Disconnect from your office network
| |
When disconnecting from your workplace, you must disconnect from your Remote Desktop Connection AND from your Virtual Private Network Connection.
| |
You have two options when disconnecting from your Remote Desktop Connection:
| |
1. Select Log Off on the Start Menu of the computer you are connected to. A confirmation box will appear, click Log Off. This will disconnect your Remote Desktop Connection and log you off from the remote computer. NOTE: All running programs will be closed when this option is selected.

| |
2. On your Remote Desktop Connection Menu Bar, click Close.

| |
A confirmation box will appear, click OK to disconnect. This will disconnect your Remote Desktop Connection. Your programs will continue to run while you are disconnected and your user will continue to be logged in.

| |
A status window will appear over the Virtual Private connection icon, in your system tray, when your mouse is placed over it.

| |
Right-click on the Virtual Private connection icon, in your system tray and select Disconnect. This will end your Virtual Private Network session. NOTE: Failure to complete this step will result in the routing of all internet traffic through your Virtual Private connection.
